Linda June Blackwell Champion

Chester, SC :Linda June Blackwell Champion, 62, died Monday,February 29, 2016 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AMSaturday March 19, 2016 at Barron Funeral Home with Pastor David Levister officiating.The family will receive friends also Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Darby Road, Chester, SC. Mrs. Champion was born November 12, 1953 in Pontiac, MI and was a daughter of the late Charlie Blackwell and Daisy Johnson Blackwell and the widow of Jeffery Mitchell Champion. She was retired from Mack Truck and was a member of First Baptist Church, Chester. Linda is survived by her two grandsons, Mitchell Lovaas of Chester, SC and Daniel Lovaas of PA and her neighbors Joy Hall and Joe Buchina whom she loved as her own children. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Brandy Lee Lovaas and her sister, Shirley Henson.
