Linda Carol Jordan Sloan

On September 17, 2024 Linda Carol Jordan Sloan went home to be with the Lord. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Friday, September 20, 2024, at Barron Funeral Home. Funeral will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Tabernacle Ministries, 4500 Great Falls Hwy., Great Falls, SC with Rev. Kenny Compton and Rev. Jill Catledge officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Born February 9, 1948 at Pryor Hospital in Chester County, she attended Chester County Schools and married James "Jimmy" Sloan. She worked as a private duty sitter in the nursing field and was also the owner of Community Chapel Day Care and The Telephone Answering Service of Chester. She helped her husband pastor the Community Chapel Church and Christian Training Center where she played the organ and led singing. She also helped her mother, “Sis” Irene Jordan and father, Walter "Bill" Jordan with their ministry. She taught cake decorating and made wedding and birthday cakes and did some catering. Preceding her in death was her long time companion, Freddie Garner; her mother, Rev. Irene Jordan and her dad, Walter "Bill" Jordan. She was an only child and is survived by three daughters, Rochelle (Chuck) Brantley, Jill (Ronnie) Catledge, and April Singley; six grandchildren, David Brantley, Jessica (PJ) Williams, Corey (Charlcie) Catledge, Brandi (Blake) Catledge, Michael Singley, Ryan (Cheryl) Singley; four great grandchildren; Dylan Williams, Kylie Catledge, Lucas Adams, Michael Singley, and soon to arrive Noah Dell Williams.
