Chester Mrs. Lillie Eileen Jourdan Hunter, 77, died Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Chester Regional Medical Center.A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Mrs. Hunter was born March 7, 1940 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late John Baptist Jourdan and Juliette Wylie Jourdan.She was a graduate of the Chester County schools and was a member of the first nursing class at York Technical College.She retired from Springs Industries as a registered nurse.She was a member of Uriel Presbyterian Church.Mrs. Hunter was also a florist, bookkeeper and an accomplished cook.She was a giving person who put the care of others before her own.She was extremely devoted to her family and practiced unconditional love. She is survived by her husband of over 61 years, Sammy Hunter; two sons, Judd Hunter (Terri) and Mark Hunter (Ellen) both of Chester; two grandchildren, Beth Suber (Will) of Chester and John David Hunter of Blair; one great granddaughter, Layla Suber of Chester; four sisters, Margie Ammons of Chester, Jean Morrison of Little River, Judy Culp (Eddie) of Chester and Diane Jourdan of Little River; one brother, Frank Jourdan (Shelby) of Chester; and numerous nieces and nephews.
