CHESTER: Mrs. Lillie Mae Gheen Burrell, 76, died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at her home.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Saluda St. Church of God with Rev. Jimmie Cox and Rev. R. Gerald Funderburk officiating.Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Burrell was born December 21, 1934 and was a daughter of the late Charlie Franklin Gheen and Lillie Mabel Byars Gheen.She attended the schools of Chester County and retired from Springs Industries.She was a member of Saluda St. Church of God. She is survived by one son, Franklin Gentry Burrell, Jr.and his wife Lisa of Chester; two daughters, Sheila Burrell McAbee and her husband Mike of Chester and LaWayne Burrell Tackitt and her husband Glenn of San Antonio, Tx.; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred G. Woodle and Hazel G. Cato both of Chester.She was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny, Fred, and Hubert Gheen and two sisters, Sadie G. Foutz and Betty Faye G. Fowler.
