Mrs. Lillian Rosalie Dove Jourdan, 86, of 1399 Lowrys Highway in Chester died Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Capers Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Irvin Plowden and Bubba Colvin officiating. Interment will be at Chester Memorial Gardens. Born May 12, 1923 in Chester county Mrs. Jourdan was a daughter of the late Samuel and Minnie Dye Dove.She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Springs Industries.She was a member of Capers Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a choir member.She was an avid bowler and amember of the Eastern Star and the Golden Age Club and also involved with the Senior Olympics. Surviving are her husband William L. Jourdan; one brother, Ernest Harold ?Hack? Dove of Hanahan, SC and one sister Mary Elizabeth Harding of Chester, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 7:30 PM Tuesday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester.
