Mr. Lester Gorda Jones III, 76, died, Sunday, August 23, 2026 at his home. All services will be private.

Mr. Jones was born February 17, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan and was the son of the late Lester Gorda Jones Jr. and Betty Campbell Jones. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Freemont, CA and also a college graduate. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during Vietnam and worked many years with Ingersoll-Rand and with B/E Aerospace. He loved to hunt , fish, travel, cook ( which he was very good at) and loved playing guitar.

He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Deanna Crouch Jones; two daughters, Victoria Garcia (Napoleon) of Charlotte, NC and Natalie Cavenaugh (Matt) of Blackstock, SC; three grandchildren, Douglas, Veronica and Lily; two great-grandchildren, Oliver and Ophelia; one brother, Donald Jones (Edith) of Wilmington, NC; one sister, Nancy Fusco (Ralph) of Bloomingdale, MI and numerous nieces and nephews.
