Chester Mr. Leslie Howard DeVatt, 55, died Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, October 10, 2022 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, October, 10 at Barron Funeral Home. Mr. DeVatt was born October 27, 1966 in Flemington, NJ and was a son of Oliver Clark DeVatt and Betty Alice Struble DeVatt. He was a graduate of Warren Hills Regional High School and employed with Family Auto of Rock Hill, SC. Les loved motorcycles especially his Harley-Davidson. He was an avid NASCAR and Dallas Cowboys fan. He is survived by one daughter, Carrie D. McWatters (Scott) of Fort Lawn, SC; one son, Leslie “Les” DeVatt (Tina) of Charlotte, NC; three step-daughters, Shannon Canfield (Mario) of Chester, SC, Elizabeth Ferrell (Sammy) of Edgemoor, SC and Amanda Winchester (Matt) of Chester, SC; numerous grandchildren and a great-grandson; brothers, Ed DeVatt (Denise) of Chester, SC, Stanley Rush (Lois) of North, SC and Chris DeVatt of Bath, PA; sisters, Robin Benedek (Danny) of Chester, SC, Lorraine Agulis of Frenchtown, NJ and Debbie DeVatt of Bath, PA; aunt, Darlene Bajor (Robert) of Martins Creek, PA; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny and Alvah DeVatt and Bob Rush.
