CHESTER, SC: Mr. Leo John “Lee” Barber, 84, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.A celebration of life service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at First Assembly of God in Rock Hill, SC with Pastor Bernie Lewis officiating.The interment will be private. No formal visitation will be held, so the family invites friends to join them for this celebration of life. Born December 19, 1930 in Woodbury, NJ, Mr. Barber was the son of the late Leo James Barber and Alice Smith Barber.He was a graduate of Collingswood High School in Collingswood, NJ where he was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame.He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean War.Mr. Barber was retired owner operator of Alpha Professional Planning Associates and was also founder of Alpha & Omega Homes Ministries. He was director of the Ministry of Alphons & Ruth Vink Foundation and attended First Assembly of God Church of Rock Hill, SC. He is survived by his wife of over sixty-three years, Dorothy Fadio Barber; three sons, Daniel Barber (Susan) of Franklinville, NJ, David Barber (Deborah) of Chester, SC and John Barber (Debbie) of Blackstock, SC; four daughters, Kathleen Mills (Edward) of Pitman, NJ, Michol Sue Hunt (Keith) of Franklinville, NJ, Bonnie Steele (Richard)and Tammy Barber both of Chester, SC; thirty-two grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter and daughter-in-law, Sue Barber of Chester, SC.He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Leo Barber.
