Blackstock Leila Hood Traylor passed away on Thursday, March 09, 2017.A funeral service will be heldat 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Blackstock First Baptist Church.Interment will follow at Blackstock First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 3:00 PMon Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Blackstock First Baptist Church. Born on May 17, 1933 in Richland County, she was the daughter of Werner Glenn and Leila Watts Hood.She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. “Mack” Traylor.Leila was a member of Blackstock First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.Family and church were the center of her life, but she also enjoyed sports.She participated in local and state Senior games and won numerous medals in these games.Quilting and reading were her hobbies. She graduated from Blackstock High School in 1952. She is survived by her son, Daryl Thomas Traylor of Blackstock, SC; four grandchildren, Ashley Parks (Jeremy) of Virginia, James Traylor (Lauren) of Chapin, SC, Madison Traylor of Fort Mill, SC and Anna Gaughen of Virginia; four great grandchildren, Logan Traylor, Landon Traylor, Makynlee Parks, and Mayson Parks; two sisters, Sara Dahnke (Ronnie) and Eunice Knox (Brice), both of Blackstock, SC. Four other sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. The family wishes to thank the staff of Harbor Chase in Rock Hill for their care of Leila in the last year.
