Lee Royce Couick

Edgemoor Mr. Lee Royce Couick, 77, died Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his home.A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church with Rev. Della Hunsucker officiating.Interment will be private. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the social hall of the church. Mr. Couick was born March 4, 1944 in Monroe, NC and was a son of the late Johnnie Nelson Couick and Mattie Jean Warlick Couick. He was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and various Law Enforcement Accreditation Schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and was retired Assistant Chief of Police with Winthrop University. Mr. Couick was a member of Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Lois Ross Couick; two daughters, Patricia C. Leard (Matthew) of Edgemoor, SC and Barrie C. Tinker of York, SC; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Floyd Benfield of Seven Devils, NC; three sisters, Barbara Benfield of Lugoff, SC, Jean Barker of Bluffton, SC and Saundra King of Atlanta, Ga; numerous nieces and nephews.
