Chester Mrs. Laurie Lee Robbins Wood, 75, died Friday, November 13, 2015, at Chester Regional Medical Center.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 16, 2015, at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rick Wheeler officiating.Interment will follow in Old Purity Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 Pm to 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 15, at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Wood was born April 29, 1940 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late S.L. Robbins and Annie Laurie Lindsay Robbins.She was a graduate of Chester High School and was retired from PPG Industries.Mrs. Wood was former co-owner of Woody’s Well & Pump Service.She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.Laurie Lee enjoyed traveling and her trips to the beach. She is survived by one daughter, Robin Wood Gunn (Floyd) of Chester; one son, Donald L. “Don” Wood, Jr. (Angela) of Chester; five grandchildren, Michelle Wilson, Lee Gunn, Paul Gunn, Kristie Wade and Laurie Luu; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and her fiancée, Robert Lucas of Chester.Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lester Wood, Sr. Memorials may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 651 Great Falls Hwy., Chester, SC 29706.
