Laura Alice Love Delancey

Inman Mrs. Laura Alice Love DeLancey, 98, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 12, 2021 at Cornwell Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Foster officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Mrs. DeLancey was born May 9, 1922 in Chester County and was a daughter of the late Oscar D. Love and Angie McNeil Love. She was a graduate of Chester High School and Winthrop College. She was a Veteran of the US Navy Waves having served during WWII and was retired from Springs Industries. Mrs. Delancey also taught two years of school in Landrum, SC in her earlier years. She was a member of Cornwell Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder. Laura was also a former Treasurer of Chester V.F.W. Post 5930 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Binkley of Rock Hill, SC, Kathy DeLancey (Rick) of Inman, SC and Mona Wheat (Juan) of Fayetteville, NC; one son, Wayne DeLancey (Ann) of Chester, SC; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Cliff DeLancey.
