CHESTER Mr. Larry Dean Pitts, 61, of 1115 Craigbrow Circle died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Donald Scoggins officiating.Interment will be in Uriel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Born June 22, 1947 in Chester County, SC, Mr. Pitts was a son of the late Dewey McCluney and Rebecca Pitts.He attended schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries.He was a member of St. Paul?s Presbyterian Church and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.He coachedLittle League baseball and was an avid sports fan of baseball, football, Nascar and he also enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife Diane Campbell Pitts; two sons, Kevin D. Pitts and Christopher S. Pitts both of Chester; four grandchildren; five brothers, Jimmy Ramey, Aubrey Ramey, Jerry McCluney all of Chester; Johnny Wilson of Sumter, SC and Mac McCluney of Rock Hill, SC; one sister, Beverly Mixon of Sumter, SC. The family will receive friends from 5:00 ? 8:00 Tuesday at Barron Funeral Home.
