Kerry was the son of the late Kenneth Kaelin and the late Mary Smoot. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, companion, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kerry was the proud father of three children: Kerry Jr, Tonya, and Kyle. He was also the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren, who were among the greatest joys of his life. Kerry loved being a grandpa and treasured every moment he spent with his grandchildren. He took great pride in watching them grow and loved creating memories with them.

Kerry was blessed to share many years with his longtime companion and fiancée, Jessica, whom he loved dearly. He also held a special place in his heart for Jessica’s son, Charley, and loved the time they spent together.

Kerry shared a very special bond with his brothers and sisters. He loved his siblings very much and cherished the relationships they shared throughout their lives.

He is survived by his siblings, Kara, Kim, Karla, Kory, Kenny, Kathy, and Karen. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Michael and Rex.

Kerry was a businessman and the owner of Catawba Plastics Incorporated in Chester, South Carolina. Through his work, he built a life and a business that became an important part of the Chester community.

Outside of work, Kerry enjoyed the things that brought him happiness and gave him time to relax. He loved watching Indiana Fever basketball and Clemson football, and he enjoyed spending time on the golf course. But above all, Kerry loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Kerry will be remembered for the love he had for his children and grandchildren, the deep affection he held for his brothers and sisters, and the love he shared with Jessica and Charley. Though his passing was unexpected, the love he gave and the memories he leaves behind will remain with his family forever.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
