Kenneth Joel McCorkle

Kenneth Joel McCorkle, 88 , died, Friday, October 30, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 6, 2026 at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Michael Brantley officiating.

Ken was born December 11, 1937 in Chester, SC and was the son of the late Baxter Howard McCorkle and Evelyn Virginia Brantley McCorkle.  He worked with Edisto Dairy, Lance, and later retired from Eckerd's Pharmacy. Ken was a loving husband and father, and his family was very important to him.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carolyn Catoe McCorkle; his children, Joel Kevin McCorkle of Greensboro, NC, Philip Calvin McCorkle (Holly) of Lakeland, FL, William Walter McCorkle of Clemmons, NC and Jessica Wendy Harris (Chris) of Winston Salem, NC; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and Serena Manning his special friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Wendy Francene McCorkly and Kelly Ann Webster.
