Kenneth Roger Crosby

Kenneth Roger Crosby, 83, died Saturday February 3, 2024 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Barron Funeral Home with the Rev Clay Waldrip officiating. Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. Born July 12, 1940 in Chester SC, he was the son of the late William Douglas Crosby and Thelma Lucille Harvey Crosby. Roger was a graduate of Chester High School. Roger was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Roger was a mechanic most of his life, working at South State Chevrolet , Paul’s Pontiac, Buick, GMC, and for 27 years co-owned and operated Capps Radiator Service until his retirement. After retiring, he worked at the Chester County recycling center at Lewis Turnout for 15 years. Roger loved farming, working in his wood shop, and making people laugh. He is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Mildred Abercrombie Crosby; two children, Ken (Tonya) Crosby of Chester, SC and Kelly Crosby Adams of Easley, SC; three grandchildren, Matthew, Samantha, and Rachel; one great grandson, Silas; one sister, Joyce Knight of Monroe, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a brother, Don Crosby, a niece, Donna Crosby Johnson, and a nephew, Mark Crosby.
