Rock Hill:Mrs. Katie Jane Boatwright Smith, 53, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC. The family of Mrs. Smith will have a gathering of friends and family on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the home of her brother Jesse Boatwright, 321 Green Bay Drive, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Mrs. Smith was born in York County, SC on October 28, 1959. She is the daughter of Naomi Hughes Boatwright and the late Jerry Samuel Boatwright. She attended the schools of York County and was formerly employed with Bowers Fibers in Lancaster, SC. In addition to her mother,Mrs. Smith is survived by one daughter, April Sowle and one son, Gary Boatwright both of Rock Hill, SC; six grandchildren, three brothers, Jesse Boatwright and Allan Boatwright both of Rock Hill, SC and Dean Boatwright of Sedwick, KS.
