Kathleen Howard Hendrix

Mrs. Kathleen Howard Hendrix, 86, died Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday February 2, 2024 at Fountain of Life Church of God with Pastor David Flanders officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM also at Fountain of Life Church of God. Mrs. Hendrix was born January 7, 1938 in Lancaster, SC and was a daughter of the late Tommy Howard and Maggie Player Howard. She was a graduate of High School through the GED program. Mrs. Hendrix was retired form Springs Industries Springsteen plant having worked over 30 years. She was a member of Fountain of Life Church of God where she was music director for over 40 years and taught Sunday school. Kat loved reading her bible and baking goodies. She is survived by one daughter, Wendy Hendrix Blackburn of Chester, SC; one son, Eddie Hendrix of Chester, SC; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; one brother, Rev. Jack Howard (Elaine) of Chester, SC; one sister, Connie Sue Clement of Decatur, AL and numerus nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of over 57 years, Clarence Edward “John” Hendrix; daughter Wanda K. Kinsey; daughter in law Sherry Gail Hendrix; sister Corine Caston. Memorials may be made to Fountain of Life Church of God, 520 Christopher Lane, Chester, SC 29706.
