Kathleen Diane Capuano Bennett

Kathleen Diane Capuano Bennett, 78, died Friday, May 22, 2026, at MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center.  All services will be private.

Born June 10, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Fred Capuano and Jacquline Sherring Capuano.  Kathy was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Canton, Ohio.  She was a homemaker.  Early in her life, Kathy loved horses and horseback riding.  She also loved her dogs.  Kathy enjoyed working in her yard planting flowers and she looked forward to going camping.

She is survived by her husband of over 61 years, Jack Bennett; one daughter, Kristine Bennett Mathis (Tim) of Chester; two grandsons, Shawn Dixon and Coby Bennett; three great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; one step granddaughter, Lucy Mathis; and two step great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her brothers, Rick Lung and Fred Capuano.
