Kathaleen McMurray Fairfax, 70, died Sunday, December 22, 2024, at her home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, December 29, at Barron Funeral Home. Born September 18, 1954 in Lancaster, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ola Steen. Kathy was a graduate of the Chester County School System through the GED program. She retired from Springs Industries and Shaw Industries. Kathy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of over 25 years, David M. Fairfax; three daughters, Michelle Allman (Nate) of Lexington, SC, Kristy Applen (Don) of Ridgeway, SC and Jennifer Bigham (Buddy) of Great Falls, SC; three step children, Scottie Fairfax (Kelly) of Richburg, SC, Wayne Fairfax (Kristin) of Fort Lawn, SC and Sarah Evans (James) of Chester, SC; twelve grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one sister, Frances Pfiffer (John) of Lancaster, SC.
