August 16, 1951 — February 8, 2025

Julina M Bright Ms. Julina M Bright , 73, died Saturday, February 8, 2025 at MUSC Columbia after a short illness. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gardens in Chester. Friends and family are welcome to attend. Jody was born August 16, 1951 in York SC and was the daughter of the late Margaret Mosley Rudder McCants and the late Hiram McCants whom she referred to as Pop, and her late father John C Rudder. Jody graduated from Chester High School in 1968. She also finished LeCarnes Beauty School and York Technical College with a degree in Assistant Nursing. She worked many years in the Auto Parts Industry with knowledge that was unbelievable. Most of us and close friends looked to her as the best source of information about our vehicles. She always said just because she sold auto parts it didn't make her a mechanic. She worked most of those years at Big A Auto Parts and Kirby Chevrolet. She retired from Carolina Tank. She is survived by one son, Chris Bright (Terri), one sister Doris Bright (Alfred, Jared and Josh), three brothers David Rudder, Paul McCants (Karen), Bud McCants (Jane) all of Chester. One grandchild Jade B Maury (Lance) of Dallas NC. Ex husband and friend Will Bright. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Memorials may be made to The National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, 1760 Centre St, Suite A Rapid City, SD 57703
