Fort Lawn, SC: Mrs. Judy Dixon Nevis, 62, died Friday, May 15, 2014 at her residence.The funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Barron Funeral Home.Interment will followwill be in Elmwood Cemetery in Fort Lawn. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 PM Monday, May 18, 2015 at Barron Funeral Home. Born August 23, 1952 in Richmond, VA, Mrs. Nevis was a daughter of the late Kibler Robert Dixon and Ethel Morton Dixon.She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, VA and also York Technical College in Rock Hill, SC.She was previously employed with the Chester Regional Medical Center in Chester, SC as an LPN.Early in her career she was an accountant with Apple Computer.Mrs. Nevis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Robert Wayne Nevis, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of York, SC; one daughter, Cynthia Dawn Threatt and her husband Robert, III of Fort Lawn, SC; three grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Nevis and Luke Nevis both of York, SC and Kristy Windsor of Fort Lawn, SC; one brother, Robert Dixon of Richburg, SC; three sisters, Frances Prestridge and her husband William of Gonzales, LA, Georgie Dixon of Richburg, SC and Vickie Narvaez of Richburg, SC and several nephews.
