Juanita Gregory Parkins

Chester Juanita Gregory Parkins, 87, died Friday, March 17, 2023, at her home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 19, at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends anytime at the home and immediately following the service at the graveside. Mrs. Parkins was born June 1, 1935 in Lockhart, SC and was a daughter of the late Johnny Gregory and Ruby Wilson Gregory. She attended the schools of Union County, SC and was a homemaker. Juanita’s love was sewing and caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by two children, Niwana McAbee (Peanut) and Dennis Parkins (Sandy) both of Chester, SC; four grandchildren, Tommy, Staci, Cody and Brian; four great grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Parkins and three sisters, Edna Mitchell, Frances Flenniken and Barbara Yarborough.
