Juanita Lipscomb Beltz, 92, died at home with family at her side on Thursday, June 22, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 25, 2023 at First Baptist Church, Chester with Reverend Clay Waldrip and Dr. Neely Gaston officiating . Visitation will be held in the foyer of the church from 1:15 PM until 2:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at the home of Nancy and Jim Gough. Interment will be held in Chester Memorial Gardens. Juanita met and married the love of her life, DeLeon (Lonnie) Beltz in 1952 and they were married for over 67 years. They had two children, John Howard Beltz (Katy) of Dandridge, Tennessee and Nancy Beltz Gough (Jim) of Chester, SC. She was born in Newberry, South Carolina on July 3, 1930 to the late Howard and Mabel Armstrong Lipscomb. She was one of six children of which she was next to the youngest. In addition to her parents, Juanita was proceeded in death by her husband, Lonnie in 2019. In addition to her children, she is survived by five grandchildren, John Evan Beltz of Rock Hill, SC, William Beltz (Pawnee) of McConnels, SC, Andy Beltz of Rock Hill, SC, Lauren Wilburn Long (Jack) of Annapolis, MD and Adam Williams of Dandridge, TN. She has five great grandchildren, Taylor Beltz, Leo Beltz ,Lilly Beltz, Jack Long V and Charlotte Long. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She graduated from Newberry High School in 1947. Later she worked for Bell South. In 1969 together with her husband, they opened Domar Shoes in Chester SC where they served the community for over thirty five years. She was active in Bethel United Methodist Church of Chester, SC, as a member of the Pete Wylie Sunday School and Bethel Lights. Juanita also enjoyed Senior Olympics and participating in the Senior games in Florence, SC. She loved being a member of the Dogwood Garden Club, bowling and other community activities in her younger days. After retiring she enjoyed exercise classes, ballroom dancing, sewing and the Golden Age Club of Chester.
