Joyce Elaine Bagwell Howard

Joyce Elaine Howard, 83, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025 at MUSC Health Chester Nursing Center. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Barron Funeral Chapel, The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home

Mrs. Howard was born in Chester, SC and was the daughter of the late Broadus B. and Mamie Sue Wilbanks Bagwell. Elaine was a career Registered Nurse having worked at various hospitals and was also a Health Occupation Instructor at the Chester County Career Center for over ten years. She was a member of Fountain of Life Church of God.

In addition to her parents, Elaine is preceded in death by her brother, Broadus Bagwell, Jr, sisters, Jeanette Bagwell, Gladys Truesdale, Elise Stiles, Shirley Duffie, Zelma Fairfax and Geraldine Helms. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Jack Howard, her son Richard Howard (Karen), granddaughter, Lisa Plyler (Richard), her great-granddaughter, Addison Kate Plyler and her sister Linda O'Neal.
