Chester Mrs. Joyce Elaine Inman Gibson, 79, died, Tuesday, March 14, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday March 18, 2023 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, March 18, 2023 at Barron Funeral Home. Mrs. Gibson was born January 4, 1944 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late Robert Cleveland Inman and Eula McCorkle Inman. She attended the schools of Chester County, was a homemaker and she worked with Lancaster Street Laundromat for many years. She is survived by three children, William Scott Inman (Lisa) of Chester, SC, Timothy Wayne Mathis (Kristine) of Chester, SC and Jodie Simon (fiancé Matthew Ashley) of Blackstock, SC; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She also had a very special companion Freddie Wishert of Chester, SC; In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry David Gibson; two sisters, Betty Jean Lewis and Shirley Diane Inman and her niece Jean Elizabeth Johnson.
