Joyce Elizabeth Weir Black

Lando Mrs. Joyce Elizabeth Weir Black, 81, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday August 2, 2020 at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Scott Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM August 1, 2020 at Barron Funeral Home. Mrs. Black was born March 30, 1939 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late William Harvey Weir and Eliza Moffitt McWaters Weir. She was a graduate of Chester High School and was formerly employed with Springs Industries for over 20 years. She enjoyed going to baseball and softball games with her family. Mrs. Black was a member of Saluda Street Church of God. She is survived by two sons, Randal Black (Kay) of Richburg, SC and Beech Black of Lando, SC; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Joan Collins (Steve) of Richburg,SC; one brother Jerry Weir (Sybil) of Chester, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her husband Mark Randal Black, Sr.; one grandson, Mark Bradley Black; two brothers and one sister.
