LANCASTER, SC: Mrs. Joyce Wright Autry, 83, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at White Oak Manor in Lancaster.The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the First Church of the Nazarene.The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Brian Howard and Rev. Bayliss Adimaro officiating.The interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Born December14, 1933 in Chester, SC, Mrs. Autry was the daughter of the late F.O. Wright and Vinnie Petty Wright.She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries as a weaver.She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School, was a choir member, served on the bereavement committee as well as many other ministry opportunities within the church. She served as a volunteer in the Gift Shop of Chester County Hospital and was a huge Gamecock fan.Mrs. Autry was the widow of Woodrow Autry. She was the last surviving member of her family,having been preceded in death by her parents, ten sisters and one brother. She is survived by four sons, Michael W. Autry (Susan) of Lancaster, Tim Autry (Jane) of Suwanee, GA, Ronnie Autry (Tammy) of Surfside Beach, SC and Donnie Autry (Susan) of Chester, SC; two daughters, Sibby Cashwell (Phillip) of Elgin, SC and Cindy Evans (Chuck) of Great Falls; fourteen grandchildren, Kristen Sims (Travis) of Fort Mill, Scott Autry of Columbia, Brandon Autry of Bluffton, Kelly Statham (Sharon) and Stacy Stacy (Gerald) both of Elgin, Chad Evans of Great Falls, Tracey Gibson (Phillip) of Chester, Ashley Gardner (Drew) of Spartanburg, Michael and Nicholas Autry of Suwanee, GA, Austin and Chase Autry of Surfside Beach and Molly and Trent Autry of Chester; eight great grandchildren and two special nieces, Theo Stroud and Faye Mobley.
