Hartsville, SC Mrs. Joyce Edell McInville Ammons, 85, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at MUSC Health Chester Nursing Center.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 6, at Prospect United Methodist Church cemetery in Hartsville with Rev. Cindy Rumsey and Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Mrs. Ammons was born May 9, 1935 in Darlington County, SC and was a daughter of the late Walter McInville and Fannie Belle Knotts McInville.She attended the schools of Darlington County and was a graduate of Cosmetology school.Mrs. Ammons was owner and operator of Joyce’s Beauty Box.She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church in Hartsville.Joyce and her husband, J.B., were founders of the Sandy Point Golf Course in Hartsville. She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Morrison Willard (Scott) of Chester; four grandchildren, Donyell Morrison Watson of Murrells Inlet, Melia Willard Hammond (Khoury) of Rock Hill, Andrew Donnie “Andy” Morrison of Hartsville and Ashley Morrison Herring (Nick) of Hartsville; two great grandchildren, Scottie Belle Hammond of Rock Hill and Kinley Herring of Hartsville; two nieces whom she loved as sisters, Frances Gleason and Rae Kirven both of Darlington; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ammons was preceded in death by her husband, J.B.
