Chester Mr. Joseph Wayne Logan, 70, died Friday, May 24, 2019, at his home.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 27, 2019, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Waldrip and Rev. Jay Dorsey officiating.Interment will follow in Old Purity Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday at First Baptist Church. Mr. Logan was born August 15, 1948 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Vernon Eugene Logan and Betty Lou Hastings Logan. He was a 1966 graduate of Chester High School where he was a member of the FFA and a 1970 graduate of Clemson University.Mr. Logan was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Vietnam War.He was a farmer and also taught school for a short while and was also a maintenance supervisor at Williamette for over 15 years.He was a member of First Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, Michael Logan of Chester; two sisters, Christine Logan and Jenell White both of Chester; one niece, LouAnn W. Bennett of Chester; and one nephew, Russ White (Gina) of Chester.Mr. Logan was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Allen Logan. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church “Bus Fund”, P.O.
