Jordan Walker Yelvington

Chester Jordan Walker Yelvington, 10, died Friday, August 4, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 7, 2023, at Barron Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Laster & Pastor Keith Hinson officiating. Interment will follow in Armenia United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Monday, at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Jordan was born February 27, 2013 in Pineville, NC and was the son of John Richard Yelvington, Jr. and Kelley Sanders Yelvington. He attended Chester Park School of Inquiry . Jordan brought light and love to those he encountered. He loved music and being sang to. He loved it when his Dad held him close and made him laugh. Though he had some disabilities his capabilities to inspire others and bring them joy was enormous. He loved spending his days with his Nana while his parents worked. Jordan was a member of Bright Light Free Will Baptist Church in York, SC. In addition to his parents, Jordan is survived by his Nana, Betty Sanders; his uncle, Bryan Sanders; and his puppy, Gunner. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Buddy Sanders; and his grandfather and grandmother, Rick and Patty Yelvington.
