Chester Mr. Johnny Gaston Weaver, Jr., 74, died Monday, October 27, 2014, at Chester Regional Medical Center.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at First Baptist Church Lowrys with Rev. Michael Shaffer and Rev. Jerry Broughton officiating.Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 29, at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mr. Weaver was born October 12, 1940 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Johnny G. Weaver, Sr. and Agadell Grant Weaver.He was a graduate of Chester High School and was retired from Springs Industries as a loom fixer.He was a member of First Baptist Church Lowrys where he was a former deacon, choir member, and Sunday School teacher.Mr. Weaver was a member of North Chester Fire Department. He is survived by four children, Angelia Kay Dehart, Douglas Gaston Weaver, Debra Dunham, and Suzzane Slack (Red) all of Chester; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Weaver (Joyce) of Fort Lawn; one sister, Rosie W. Austin of Fairfield Co., SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.Mr. Weaver was the widower of Katherine Millwood Weaver.
