Johnnie Courtley Hollifield

Fort Lawn, SC Mr. Johnnie Courtley Hollifield, 72, died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at his home. All services are private. Mr. Hollifield was born January 9, 1948 in Asheville, NC and was a son the late Oscar George Hollifield and Eloise Mira Wallen Hollifield. He attended the schools of Chester County. Johnny was a truck driver for over 30 years and later he drove for Phillips and also supervised their shipping & receiving. He was a huge NASCAR fan and he loved John Wayne westerns and deep sea fishing trips. He also loved spending time with his family and had given them all a nickname. He is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Donna Sue Hollifield; two children Johnny C. “JJ” Hollifield, Jr. of Fort Lawn, SC and Melinda Faile (Stephen) of Heath Springs, SC; two grandchildren, Madison Katherine “Katie” Hollifield of Buford, SC and J.R. Faile of Heath Springs, SC; two sisters, Irma Chitwood of Chester, SC and Juanita Abercrombie (Donnie) of Chester, SC; one brother, Tommy Hollifield of Chester, SC; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Johnnie is preceded in death by a daughter Dawn Michelle Hollifield and a sister Kathryn Conard.
