CHESTER: Mr. Johnathon Glenn Garris, 22, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at his residence.A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the home of his mother, 2675 Cameron Road, Chester.The interment will be private. Born January 8, 1992 in Charlotte, NC, Johnathon was the son of Richard Stephen Garris, Sr. and Julie Turner Hopper and her fiancé Gary Ham.He was a 2010 graduate of York Comprehensive High School in York, SC and was employed with Haddon House Food.Johnathon was an avid video gamer and loved to hang out with his friends. In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother, Richard Garris of Chester, SC; one sister, Jennifer Garris Zenz of Wilmington, NC; one step-sister, Kirsti Hopper of Great Falls, SC; maternal grandmother, Brenda Freeman of Chester; two aunts, Tammy Adams (Andy) of Rock Hill, SC and Anne Garris of Charlotte, NC; three uncles, Jerry Turner (Diane) of Lockhart, SC, Eller Garris and Robert Garris both of Charlotte, NC and numerous cousins.
