Chester Mr. John Holmes “Johnny” Yarborough, 76, died Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Chester Regional Medical Center.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2018, at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Curran officiating.The family will receive friends in the social hall of the church immediately following the service. Mr. Yarborough was born February 25, 1942 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late John H. Yarborough, Sr. and Fannie Mae Hair Yarborough.He attended the schools of ChesterCounty and was retired from Springs Industries.Mr. Yarborough was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and the Sandy River Masonic Lodge #207. He is survived by one son, Jason Lee Yarborough (Joy) of Chester; two grandchildren, Katlyn Morgan Yarborough and Jason Tyler Yarborough both of Chester; and his loving friend, Theo Stroud of Chester.Mr. Yarborough was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Gregory Yarborough and a son, Jonathan Michael Yarborough.
