John Albert Seidenstricker

John Albert Seidenstricker, 90, died Friday, Jan 10th, at C M Tucker Jr Nursing Care Center in Columbia SC.

The Memorial Service celebrating John's life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Barron Funeral Home's chapel with Rev. Dwight Pearson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 12:00 pm. Location address:  133 Wylie St, Chester, SC.

John was born in Cincinnati OH on May 10, 1934. He was the son of the late John Coulson "Jack" Seidenstricker and Marion Blakely Seidenstricker. He grew up in Charlotte NC and graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1959. He left school temporarily to join the US Army in 1954 and served as an MP in Germany until 1956 when he returned back to Clemson to finish his education. He continued to serve in the Army Reserves until 1962. During his time in college, he met his wonderful wife of 61 years and they returned to Charlotte to start their family. John brought his family to Chester in 1972 where he worked for The DuRant Taylor Company in insurance and real estate until he retired in 2002.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Frances H Seidenstricker and his sister, Nancy Louise Seidenstricker. He is survived by his son, John Coulson Seidenstricker of Fuquay Varina and his wife, Jane Leigh LaSalle Seidenstricker; his daughter, Donna Lynn Etters of Chester and her husband, Ricky E Etters. Also his 4 grandsons: Jonathan Samuel Seidenstricker and his wife Alex; Justin Thomas Etters; Andrew Thomas Seidenstricker and Hunter Blakely Etters; and one granddaughter, Ricki Lee Etters.

The family would like to thank John's caregivers: Joyce Feaster and Ricki Lee Etters, both of Chester;  Agape Hospice of Rock Hill and Columbia and all of the staff at CM Tucker Jr Nursing Care Center for their wonderful care of John these past several years.  Your love and care far surpasses anything we could have hoped for and will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in John's honor be made to Agape Care, 1069 Bayshore Dr, Rock Hill  SC  29732.
