Chester Mr. John Sam “Johnny” Ferrell, 74, died Monday, June 22, 2015, at his home.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at St. Pauls Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tim Foster officiating.Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 24, at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC and other times at the home. Mr. Ferrell was born April 2, 1941 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Luther L. Ferrell, Sr. and Mary Jackson Leugers.He attended the schools of Chester County and retired from Hood Paint Company in Rock Hill.Mr. Ferrell was a member of St. Pauls Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of over 46 years, Hope “Susie” Dickerson Ferrell; two sons, Chris Ferrell and his wife Sherry and Lee Ferrell and his fiancé Jessica both of Chester; five grandchildren, Amanda, Heather, Jessica, Samantha and Jonathan; three great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Hannah Grace and Jayden; and one brother, Luther L. “Billy” Ferrell, Jr. (Pat) of Chester.
