LANCASTER Mr. John Steven Owings, 56, died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his residence.The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 6:00 Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the home of Cindy Owings, 300 Duke Street, Great Falls, SC.The Funeral Service and interment will be private. Born February 10, 1957 in Chester, SC, Mr. Owings was the son of the late John Luther Owings and Valacie Phillips Owings. He was a graduate of John De La Howe High School in McCormick, SC.He was a veteran of the US Marines and a long distance truck driver. He is survived by one daughter, Amelia Ferguson of Chester; one sister, Bonnie King of Powder Springs, GA and one granddaughter, Ava Ferguson of Chester, SC.
