Jimmie Lester Farmer

Jimmie Lester Farmer, 85, died Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill, SC. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Blackstock First Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Kinard and Rev. Jay Dorsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM also Saturday at Blackstock First Baptist Church.

Mr. Farmer was born April 24, 1940 in Ashe County, NC and was the son of the late James Farmer and Mae Osborne Farmer. He was a high school graduate and retired form J.H Wilson Trucking in Lowrys SC. He was a member of Blackstock First Baptist Church and a Veteran of the US Navy.

He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Faye Hood Farmer; four children, James Ray Downey (Donna) of FL, Charlotte Warren (Gregory) of Blackstock, SC, Lana Funaro (Brian) and Verna Homan (Jeff) of Ohio; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Farmer.
