Chester Mr. Jesse Vernon “Scotty” Hunter, Jr., 44, died Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky McManus officiating.Interment will be private.The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC and other times at his home. Mr. Hunter was born January 9, 1975 in Chester, SC and was a son of Jesse V. Hunter, Sr. and Christine Taylor Hunter.He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army.He was a chef for The Front Porch Restaurant and was an avid Clemson fan.Scotty loved his dogs, Loco and Sassy.He was of the Church of God faith. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Lessa Gregory (Russell) of Fort Lawn; three nieces, Kristi Willard (Scottie) of Fort Lawn, Nikki Morton of Chester and Heather Baker of Richburg; one nephew, Jason Morton of Columbia; eight great nieces and nephews including Jaicee with whom he made his home.
