YORK, SC Mr. Jerry Wayne Tessenear, 63, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Novant Health in Gaffney, SC.A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Hillside Cemetery in Chester, SC with Rev. Steve Bishop officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Born August 8, 1950 in Cherokee County, SC, Mr. Tessenear was a son of the late Fay and Flora Wyatt Tessenear.He attended the schools of Cherokee County and formerly worked as a taxi driver. He is survived by his sister, Mary T. Childers and her husband Richard and brother, Joe Dean Tessenear both of York, SC and four nephews.
