Jennie Lynn Simpson

Jennie Lynn Simpson, 80, died Sunday, April 28, 2024, at MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Roddey officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM Thursday in the Harmony Room of the church. Ms. Simpson was born November 29, 1943 in Edgemoor, SC and was a daughter of the late James Curtis Simpson and Janie Catherine Sanders Simpson. She was a graduate of Lewisville High School and retired from Winthrop University as a payroll clerk. Mrs. Simpson was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where she taught Children’s Sunday School, VBS and Summer Reading Programs. Jennie enjoyed the Senior Club with Head Start and also the Young at Heart with Harmony Baptist. She loved mission trips and her times at the beach. She is survived by one brother, Jerry Simpson (Judy) of Edgemoor; one sister, Gale Jerolmon (Dave) of Edgemoor; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Pat and Bill Simpson and two sisters, Mary Nichols and Nancy Bailey.
