Jeffrey Dewayne Bell

Jeffrey Dewayne Bell, 34, died Friday, May 12, 2023. The family will have a gathering of family and friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the home of Lauren and Jeff. He was born January 5, 1989 in Chester, SC and was a son of Teresa Smith Bell and the late Charles Dewayne Bell. He was a gradate of Cornerstone Christian School. Jeff served for over nine years in Chester County and York County fire service. He graduated from SC Fire Academy in 2011 having earned the Maltese Cross Award. Jeff was a talented machinist and welder and built many race cars from the ground up. He loved hunting and was an avid duck hunter with his trusted dog Nella. Jeff is survived by his wife of over eight years, Lauren Atkinson Bell; one brother, Justin Bell (Amanda Smith) of Greenville, SC; his mother, Teresa Smith Bell of Chester, SC; his uncle Mike Bell of Chester, SC; grandfather, Charles Bell of Chester, SC; grandmother, Barbara Ledford of Chester, SC; father-in law, Bill Atkinson (Tracy) of Henderson, NC; mother-in-law, Wanda Hall (Robbie ) of Spartanburg, SC; brother-in-law, Will Atkinson (Taylor) of Gaffney, SC; sister-in-law, Ellie Atkinson of Henderson, NC and all his racing family; he was preceded in death by his father, Charles Dewayne Bell and his paternal grandmother, Gretta Biddix Bell.
