Jeannie Marie Mathews Edwards

Richburg Jeannie Marie Mathews Edwards, 78, died Monday, January 30, 2023, at her home. No services will be held at this time. Mrs. Edwards was born July 5, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio and was a daughter of the late James Carlton Mathews and Jeanette Petcoff Mathews. She was a graduate of Waite High School in Toledo, Ohio and was retired from Pioneer Frozen Foods in Newberry, SC. Jeannie loved playing Bingo and NASCAR racing. She loved spending time with her dogs and her family. Jeannie was a member of Mt. Prospect United Methodist Church. She is survived by three sons, George Wallace and John Wallace both of Richburg, SC and Steven Lafferty; two sisters, Lynn Gibbs (Paul) of Oregon, OH and Netha Hamman of Citrus Springs, FL; one brother, Joseph Mathews of Walbridge, OH; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Nelson. Memorials may be made to Mt. Prospect UMC, c/o Terry Horne, 2296 Mtn. Gap Rd., Richburg, SC 29729.
