CHESTER Mrs. Jean Collins Morton died Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.The funeral will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Lando Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Harrison officiating.The interment will be in the Lando Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at Barron Funeral Home. Born October 17, 1929 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Morton was the daughter of the late Robert W. Collins and Jessie Mae Cooper Collins and the widow of Jack J. Morton, Sr.She was a graduate of Oakley Hall High School and received a diploma as a certified nursing assistant.She was retired from the Chester County Nursing Home and a member of the Lando Baptist Church. Mrs. Morton was survived by three daughters, Dale Evans and Pam Thomas both of Great Falls, SC and Misty Leddick of Chester; one son, Kenny Evans of Richburg, SC; one sister Louise Hinson of Edgemoor, SC; one brother, Tommy Collins of Alabama; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ann Evans, four sisters and two brothers.
