Chester, SC: Mrs. Janie McElwee Vinson,76, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. A funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon, Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Barron Funeral Home with Mr. Brent Kuffner officiating. Interment will be held in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Barron Funeral Home. Mrs. Vinson born in Fort Mill, SC on September 24, 1934 a daughter of the late Robert W. McElwee and Mildred Proctor McElwee.She was a graduate of the schools of Chester County, a member of Faith Baptist Church and was retired from Springs Industries as a cloth inspector. Mrs. Vinson is survived by one daughter, Wanda V. Inman of Murrells Inlet, SC; two sons, Michael Vinson and his wife Kelly and Stephen Vinson all of Chester, SC; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one sister, Francis Patterson of Rock Hill, SC and one brother, Robert McElwee of Danville, VA.
