Janie Hawkins Mahaffey

Janie Hawkins Mahaffey, 72, died Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at her home.  A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday July 21, 2026 in Lando Cemetery with Reverend Keith Hinson officiating.. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.

Born August 13, 1953 in Chester, SC, Janie was a daughter of the late Ada Rovella Hawkins Royer.  She attended the schools of Chester County, SC and was retired from Springs Industries.  Janie loved fishing and being outdoors.  She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sisters, Marlene Crosby of Chester, SC and Ann Hawkins of Jacksonville, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; and her caretakers and special friends, Angie Crosby and J.R. Roof.  In addition to her mother, Janie was preceded in death by her husband of over 52 years, Robert Wylie Mahaffey and her brothers, Mark Hawkins and Ronnie Hawkins.
