Janie Weir Bickett

Chester: Mrs. Janie Weir Bickett, 90, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the home of her son. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Reverend Clint Davis and Dr. Dwight Pearson officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 23, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Bickett was born December 22, 1920 in Chester, SC a daughter of the late Leonard H. Weir and Mamie Anderson Weir Feaster. She was a graduate of Chester High School, a member of Bethel United Church and was retired from Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service as a clerk. Mrs. Bickett was the widow of Glenn Allen Bickett. Mrs. Bickett is survived by one son, Al Bickett and his wife Judy of Chester, SC; two daughters, Glenda B. Martin of Tampa, FL and Marilyn B. Crocker and her husband Chuck of Chester, SC; one brother, James L. ?Red? Weir of Chester, SC; five grandchildren, Cindy Corkum and Rick Martin both of Tampa, FL, Kelly Welchel, Kevin Crocker and Bert Bickett all of Chester, SC; three step-grandchildren, Laurie Watts, Albert Watts and Dani Watts all of Chester, SC; three great-grandchildren, Quint Crocker, Lauren Crocker and Lane Bickett all of Chester, SC and three step-great-grandchildren, Iva Marie Watts, Eathan Watts and Tyson Watts all of Chester, SC. She was preceded in death by two brothers, L.A. ?Dump? Weir and Thomas Pete Weir and one sister, Marion Weir Lee.
