Mr. James Arthur Wagers, Jr, 66, died July 22, 2010 in a hospice center in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.The funeral service will be 4:00 PMSunday, July 24, 2010 at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC with Reverend Steve Bishop officiating.Interment will be in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3:00 ? 4:00 Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Barron Funeral Home. Born July 21, 1944 in Chester, SC, Mr. Wagers was a son of the late James Arthur and Elizabeth Edwards Wagers, Sr. He was a graduate of Chester High School and Presbyterian College.Mr. Wagers was a member of Chester Masonic Lodge #18 and Leesville United Methodist Church and aproud AlumniPi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He is survived by one daughter Carman Bevis and husband Rob of Charleston, SC; one son James Arthur Wagers, III, and fiance' Sarah Cox of Columbia, SC,three grandsons, Dillon Wagers, Robert Bevis, and Parks Bevis all of Charleston, SC and one sister, Sarah Jane Jones of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Godbold Wagers. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
