Formerly of Chester Mr. James Marion Rape, 89, died May 10, 2012 at Uni Health in Rock Hill, SC.A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 13, 2012 at St. Mark?s Episcopal Church with Father Gordon Hamilton and Rev. Clint Davis officiating.The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 1:00 ? 2:00 pm Sunday at St. Mark?s Parish Hall. Born November 5, 1922 in Chester County, Mr. Rape was a son of the late T.B. Rape and Annie Mae Benson Rape.He attended the schools of Chester County.He was a veteran of the US Marines during WWII and was a sharp shooter.He was founder and owner of James Studio for over fifty years and an active member of St. Mark?s Episcopal Church where he was former Junior Warden.He was the widower of Roberta Brown Rape. He is survived by one daughter, Bonnie R. Orr and husband Leslie of Chester, SC; two grandchildren, Jeff Orr of Chester, SC and Brooke Orr Cooper and her husband Mike of Fort Mill, SC; five great grandchildren, Chris Orr, Josh Orr, Lizzie Orr, Mverick Orr, and Emma Cooper; two great grandchildren, Keely Orr, Ty Orr.He was preceded in death by a grandson Todd Orr and two brothers, Bobby Rape and T.B.
